Moving House!

11 August 2017

Finally its happening!  We are off to Kibworth to a fantastic new home in Gladstone Street.  Very different from Mowsley but just as great.

It will take us a while to get back up to speed with our pictures so please be patient with us. We will need to have a brand new studio built in the garden so it's going to take a while.

Building the new studio

26 September 2017

Todays the day! Bentleys Sheds are putting our new purpose built studio and workshop.  We can't wait to get in there.

The studio is finished ! No excuses now !

26 October 2017

It's up and we painted, carpeted, fitted it out and had the power connected up.  It's even got a radiator so there really are no excuses for not getting in there and making some beautiful new pictures!

 The snows got us!

28 February 2018

Unfortunately, we have had to pull out of our first event of the year at the Artisan Emporium in Towcester Town Hall, due to the predicted heavy snowfall for the weekend. As far as we are aware, the event is still going ahead, but please check out on social media for the latest info.

 An inspirational break in Rome

4 April 2018

Well four days in Rome was a welcome and exciting break.

The city is fabulous with so many amazing things to see, the food (especially the Gelato!) and drink is great and the people were really friendly. Now back at work getting ready for our next at the Battle of Bosworth Spring Fair on Sunday 15 April. Why not pop along and say hello, you could make it a real day out and take a look at the battlefield  and the spectacular Visitor Centre.

Late Notice Event - Artisans of Market Harborough

12 April 2018

Just to let you know, we will be attending the next Artisans event in Market Harborough, this Saturday 14 April.

It's always worthwhile popping along to the historic Old Grammar School in Market Harborough (next door to St Dionysius' Church).

There will be a wide variety of lovely handmade products crafted by local artists and makers.

Entry is free and we will be there from 10am until 4pm. See you there!

 Castle Ashby Gardens Craft Fair

29 May 2018

Well this is an event for the diary for next year!

What a fabulous location, not only are the gardens spectacular and well worth the entrance fee, but the walled garden where the craft fair is held is simply wonderful. It's a lovely place to take the whole family with a fantastic traditional Carousel, which was free for under 12's and only a £1 for everyone else! Punch and Judy performed repeatedly in a refreshingly non-PC performance which was hilarious for children and adults alike. The refreshment marquee was busy both days and the bar was stocked well with much appreciated cold drinks, all this accompanied by a wonderful Jazz Band with an amazing lead singer.

As soon as we get the dates for next year we'll be posting them on our site.

Next event the ever popular Foxton Festival on Saturday and Sunday the 16th and 17th of June. Another great day out for the whole family.

 Hopefully see you there!

 Where did the Summer go!

29 August 2018

What a great Summer full of fantastic events!

Foxton Festival is just getting bigger and bigger each year.

We ventured into Derbyshire for their County Show at the very impressive Locko Park.  Thousands came and endured sweltering weather, whilst experiencing all the different attractions.  May be a bit too warm to be inside an enormous Marquee that day!

The heat continued as we returned to the Ashby Show, which was just as good as always.

And finally, over to the Canwell Show, the people were just as lovely and the attractions were great.  Definitely worth a visit.

Literally, the next day we drove off very early down to Cornwall for some hard earned R&R.  We found a beautiful little cottage just outside of Port Isaac and enjoyed a week of Cornish hospitality, countryside, beaches and of course Pasties!

Back now busy trying to create some new pictures and looking forward to the next round of events.

 We're heading back to Mowsley!

29 August 2018

We are delighted to have been asked to attend a brand new Christmas Market being held at Mowsley Village Hall. Having lived in the village for 10 years it will be a great opportunity to see some old friends and neighbours.

Put the date in your diary, it's Sunday 18 November from 10am to 3pm.

Thank you Market Harborough Building Society

1 October 2018

We are delighted to have been invited to display a selection of our pictures on the Local Artists wall at the Market Harborough Building Society, Harborough Branch for the month of October.

Why not pop along and have a look at what Tina has been up to recently.

We are off to the magnificent Lamport Hall -

Autumn Gift and Craft Fair - 13 & 14 October 2018

10 October 2018

We are really looking forward to this years event at Lamport.  It's always a great day out with masses of stalls and displays, from fine art and jewellery to clothing and toys, plus everything else you can think of! Not forgetting all the fabulous locally produced foods and drink. We're setting up in one of the stables again this year so should have lots of room!  Hope to see you over the weekend.

30 January 2019

We are really excited, we've got another shop lined up to sell our pictures! We will be setting up on Friday at Simply Salvaged Interiors in the  renowned Heart of the Shires Shopping Village. It's a really great place to visit with lots of interesting shops selling all sorts of different things from gifts to clothes, jewellery and one of the best Kitchen shops in the country plus a wonderful café and restaurant. Well worth a drive out on the A5 just down to Weedon, you can't miss it!

Here it is, our new display at Simply Salvaged Interiors - Heart of the Shires Shopping Village

15 February 2019

Well we've got the display up now and it seems to be going down really well. We have already had to go back twice to restock. Dawn at Simply Salvaged Interiors has been really helpful and kind and we appreciate this a lot. So thank you very much. The whole Heart of the Shires Shopping Village  is well worth a visit and looks really great in this beautiful spring-like weather.

New Dark Grey Frames - and it's all thanks to one of our lovely customers.

20 March 2019

The lady mentioned that she had a preference for a slightly darker frame colour, which tied in with something we had been thinking for quite a while. After numerous experiments, we have chosen this very stylish modern looking, dark grey colour.  We know that the choice of frame colour is down to personal preference and the picture's location, so are very pleased to add this to our range of colours.

New for Designs for 2019 -featuring a fantastic acrylic paint that looks almost like glass.

11 April 2019

Tina has been very busy in her studio working with another type of acrylic paint that has a wonderful lustre and an almost shimmering effect. In the image we have shown a new gold heart in the increasingly popular dark grey frame, alongside a crushed sea shell heart.  Next to these is a stylish but simple grey vase using a mixture of the new acrylic paint with a gold watercolour collar in a light grey frame.  Checkout our gallery for more images of these.

New lights illuminate display at Simply Salvaged.

1st May 2019

We are really pleased with the new spot lights installed at Simply Salvaged which highlight our display beautifully. Why not pop along and check it out ,not just for our pictures, there's lots more to see to see as well at the Heart of the Shires shopping village.

Extra Event added to our calendar!

1st June 2019

We are heading over to the Royal Oak in Kirby Muxloe  (LE9 2AN), not for a drink and a taste of the renown fantastic food, but for Cherry & Blossom's Summer Makers Food Gift Market.

Why not pop along and see what's on display from a variety of local artisans, and maybe at the same time enjoy the hospitality that will obviously be available.  The Market is on from 10am to 3.30pm and entrance is £1 in aid of C.R.Y - Cardiac risk in the Young Charity. Looking forward to seeing you later.

Prints are finally here!

1st August 2019

Well, after only three years we've finally cracked copying and printing our pictures.

Tina has been very busy producing a brand new range of watercolour paintings which very cleverly incorporate her trademark floral designs in the shape of much loved animals and objects. There are Cats and Dogs, Rabbits, Owls, Alpacas, and many  more, plus Hearts and Flowers.

We have produced both prints and greetings cards and will soon be adding them on the website once our online store is launched.

We have the full range of cards on show at the fantastic Simply Salvaged shop within the Heart of the Shires Shopping Village and our prints are available in the equally lovely No.56 Coffee House here in Kibworth.

Trust Pilot reviews are now available

14th August 2019

We've created an account with Trust Pilot so that our customers can leave feedback on what we do.  Fingers crossed all good, but if we have fallen short, we need to know about it so that we can address any thing we have done wrong.

So far we've received some great reviews, which hopefully will be reassuring to people who are not familiar with our work.

 Busy, busy, busy!

5th November 2019

We are now right in the middle our busiest time of year. We had a fabulous weekend at Lamport Hall at their Autumn Gift and Craft Fair and followed this two weeks later at the ever popular Ladies Who Love to Shop event here in Kibworth, which was just as busy as ever. So a big thank you to the organisers and to all the lovely people who came to see us and buy our pictures. Tina is now locked away in her studio trying desperately to replace some of the pictures we  sold, ready for our next big event, which is the Wicksteed Gift and Craft Fair this coming Saturday and Sunday!

 New Collection of floral designs

10th November 2019

Tina is always looking to create new designs, which nearly always are for our own home, and when she is satisfied that they are just right, become available for sale.

Here you can see the display she has painted in our front room, which are now available for sale.  You can see more designs in our Gallery including some sumptuous tropical leaves.
